Responder Recovery
My name is Shaynee Fanara and I am a subrogation attorney for Fortune 500 companies. I offer a service for fire departments to get reimbursed from insurance companies and power companies. I have served Emmet and other northern Michigan counties as a firefighter, a marine officer, and member of the dive team and prosecuting attorney. This gives me a unique background and allows me to provide the best reimbursement program for Fire Departments.
By Michigan statute, Fire Departments are allowed to seek reimbursement for the costs of responding to calls. Our Northern Michigan Fire Departments do not want to charge their citizens for Fire Department runs. This program only collects from power companies and insurance companies. Insurance companies have money set aside for First Responders on the claim, money that does not go to the citizen. If the First Responder does not collect it, the money goes back to the insurance company.
I have had success collecting thousands of dollars for the Littlefield Alanson Fire Department in less than a months’ time. I want to to the same for Petoskey Public Safety. All I require is approval from your board of directors and access to your CCE run sheets. Once approved, I will calculate the costs to be billed for each firefighter and vehicle. Payments from the insurance or utility company are sent directly to the Fire Department. I collect 30% of what is collected for my services.
